Project Description                : Quarterback project comprises of different team working on different module/interfaces, MI was one of the team who developed the reporting system for Quarterback. Transco had a requirement to deliver a Mobile Workforce Solution to the business, with the aim of reducing service operating costs by 25% over the next 5 years. Through the drive for continuous improvement, ingenuity and the use of advancing technology, Transco believes cost reduction on this scale is attainable. Project QuarterBack5 began with a pilot project in the West Midlands. This concentrated on the Repair and Metering businesses. The pilot project demonstrated the potential for cost reduction on the scale required. It also provided confidence that new mobile technology deployed with the field-force would be a significant help. The pilot was completed in July 2002 and the National Rollout (NRO) programme began.
